Pole Fitness

After going to the gym and doing the same workouts for a couple years I started to get bored. I wanted to try something new and switch things up. Me and my friend, Michelle, started looking into pole dance classes but at that time the closest studio was in Vaughan (going downtown was not an option for us). Sometime last year we found a Groupon for a 4-week Pole Basics course at a studio close by and jumped on board. This particular studio focuses more on pole fitness, which I prefer anyway.

Of course we’re still learning so there’s lots of room for improvement. Pointed toes make the world of a difference, but when you’re trying to do a new move, that’s kind of the last thing you think about – I’m just focused on not falling on my head!

Also, along the way we signed up for a showcase and performed a beginner routine just for funzies. That’s what the video up top is.
